Caramelized Onion Chili Crisp Dip

Caramelized Onion Chili Crisp Dip

Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2.5 large yellow onions thinly sliced (about 1/4" thick)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch of cayenne powder (more or less to taste, optional)
  • 1 Tbsp More-ish Sauce Co Chili Crisp (Warm, Hot, or Hotter)

Directions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion slices and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until softened.
  2. Sprinkle the sugar over the onions and reduce the heat to medium low. Continue cooking for 35 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.
  3. Remove the onions from the heat and let cool slightly, then give them a rough chop.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cayenne, and garlic powder until creamy, preferably in a food processor for a 1-2 minutes.
  5. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and caramelized onions.
  6. Lastly, drizzle the More-ish Sauce Co Chili Crisp on top of the dip (you can also stir in additional for a spicier dip).
  7. Serve the dip immediately, at room temperature, or chilled with potato chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.
